Langham is an attractive village lying on the edges of Constable Country on the borders of Essex and Suffolk. A useful satellite of Colchester, it has a lively population and thriving Primary School and a popular eatery The Shepherd.
Set in the woodland of the Langham Hall Estate, is St Mary's fifteenth century Church, a true rural idyll and a shrine to the countryside it nestles in. St Mary's is one of the Dedham Vale churches painted by John Constable.
Langham Film Nights have been operating for nearly three years, and have an active Youth Cinema who regularly choose and screen their own film events. All the screenings are a popular feature in village life and attract significant numbers who not only want to enjoy the films, but see the events as social occasions. A film night is where you can meet with fellow residents, and is therefore a valuable forum for social inclusion.
