Judi Dench, Maggie Smith and Bill Nighy deliver sparkling performances in this delightful comedy drama. Based on the novel, These Foolish Things, by Deborah Moggach, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel follows a group of British pensioners who are enticed by advertisements for the newly restored Marigold Hotel, a luxurious sanctuary for "the elderly and beautiful" in India. Bolstered with visions of a life of leisure, they arrive to find the palace a shell of its former self. Though the new environment is less luxurious than imagined, they are forever transformed by their shared experiences, discovering that life and love can begin again when you let go of the past.
The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel will be preceded by the Short Film Competition Awards. Richard Johns and Nigel Floyd, two of the panel of judges, will present the Awards.
